You know whats sorta funny? I can't help but think that those kids who eat hearts could be just like red blooded American guys who watch football constantly and fart. The only difference is that us europeans have a sense of authority, and heed it. Did we learn our lesson? Were we ever savages in the first place? And we've got a shitload more cops and authority roving around. The problem is nobody gives a shit about liberia, there is nothing to protect. Which came first the chicken or the egg? Oh yeah, Voodoo values, forgot about that part.

Then again another part of me wants to point to all black people and say, there. This is what you would be like without Welfare, Hydro electric dams, and a sense of normalcy.

I agree with 'getting out ot the city'. I went a step further. I sold 90% of my 'fine furniture' and toys and used the money for 'preps'. That stuff will all be worthless in the future. Insurance companies will cancel policies before they get into a position where they are loosing money.

I used to work nights in the downtown area of a major city. Thousands of homeless people walk the streets. The city never sleeps. I can't help but think that many are waiting for tsthtf.....it won't be pretty.

Let the ratio get to where you are the minority and then tell me that. BTW: Before you start telling me where the bear sh!ts in the woods, spend some time in the Army with an over 90% black NCO cadre.

You deal with the few token blacks that have to assimilate to society... when their population increases, and 'democracy' votes your white ass to the curb, believe me... chances are extremely high (more like inevitable) that THEY will NOT extend you the same token courtesy. The few blacks that try too act 'white' will be killed by their own for the crime of being 'Uncle Toms', and your family will be left to deal with the angry, hungry mob that thinks 'you owe them'.

Sorry didn't think I was coming off that unfriendly. I've just had more bad experiences with blacks than good. Granted I have had a couple amicable aquaintences that were black, but as soon as they were amongst their own, they changed.

January 16, 2002 -- ON Friday, NBC will air a special commemorating the 25th anniversary of the landmark miniseries based on Alex Haley's book "Roots." Ironically, the original series aired on ABC - but officials at that network took a pass on broadcasting the tribute.

What's truly amazing, however, is that "Roots" is receiving a reverential tribute at all. For while the miniseries was a remarkable - and important - piece of television,
the book on which it was based has now been widely exposed as a historical
hoax.

Unfortunately, the general public is largely unaware of how Haley's monumental family autobiography, stretching back to 18th-century Africa, has been discredited.

Indeed, a 1997 BBC documentary expose of Haley's work has been banned by U.S. television networks - especially PBS, which would normally welcome such a program.

Coincidentally, the "Roots" anniversary comes amid the growing scandal over disclosures of historian Stephen Ambrose's multiple incidents of plagiarism. Because as Haley himself was forced to acknowledge, a large section of his book -
including the plot, main character and scores of whole passages - was
lifted from "The African," a 1967 novel by white author Hal Courlander.

But plagiarism is the least of the problems in "Roots." And they would likely have remained largely unknown, had journalist Philip Nobile not undertaken a remarkable study of Haley's private papers shortly before they were auctioned off.

The result was featured in a devastating 1993 cover piece in the Village Voice. It confirmed - from Haley's own notes - earlier claims that the alleged history of the book was a near-total invention.

"Virtually every genealogical claim in Haley's story was false," Nobile has written. None of Haley's early writing contains any reference to his mythic ancestor, "the African" named Kunta Kinte. Indeed, Haley's later notes give his family name
as "Kante," not "Kinte."

And a long-suppressed tape of the famous session in which Haley " found" Kunta Kinte through the recitation of an African "griot" proves that, as BBC producer James Kent noted, "the villagers [were] threatened by members of Haley's party.
These turn out to be senior government officials desperate to ensure that things go
smoothly."

Haley, added Kent, "specifically asks for a story that will fit
his predetermined American narrative."

Historical experts who checked Haley's genealogical research discovered that, as one put it, "Haley got everything wrong in his pre-Civil War lineage and none of his
plantation ancestors existed; 182 pages have no basis in fact."

Given this damning evidence, you'd think Haley's halo would long ago have vanished. But - given this week's TV tribute - he remains a literary icon. Publicly, at least.

The judge who presided over Haley's plagiarism case admitted that "I did not want to destroy him" and so allowed him to settle quietly - even though, he acknowledged, Haley had repeatedly perjured himself in court.

The Pulitzer Prize board has refused to reconsider Haley's prize, awarded in 1977 - in what former Columbia President William McGill, then a board member, has acknowledged was an example of "inverse racism" by a bunch of white liberals
"embarrassed by our makeup."

Yet the uniqueness of "Roots" is that it was presented as factual history, albeit with fictional embellishments. Haley himself stressed that the details came from his family's oral history and had been corroborated by outside documents.

But Professor Henry Louis Gates of Harvard, a Haley friend, concedes that it's time to "speak candidly," adding that "most of us feel it's highly unlikely that Alex actually found the village from whence his ancestors came.

http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com -- IN the early 1980s, when Alex Haley, the author of "Roots," was speaking at Lincoln Center, investigative reporter Philip Nobile asked him a straightforward question. Since he had paid Harold Courlander $650,000 in a plagiarism suit, why shouldn't Haley be considered a criminal instead of a hero?
Haley had no answer. Well, what would you expect from someone who had pulled off one of the biggest con jobs in U.S. literary history?
Yet the "Roots" hoax has sustained itself. Every PBS station in America refused to show the 1997 BBC documentary inspired by Nobile's reporting on the book. And tonight NBC will air a retrospective on the 25th anniversary of the popular TV miniseries.
There are a number of reasons the truth about "Roots" is still ignored. One is that black Americans, primarily because of the influence of Malcolm X and the Nation of Islam, became obsessed with being a "lost" people in America, people who had "no knowledge of self." Younger black people were told they were not Americans, but victims of Americanism. Their true identity, Malcolm X said, was African and Islamic. The truth had been hidden from them by the white man, who was the Devil.
Another reason the hoax has held is that Haley, riding on the success of "The Autobiography of Malcolm X," for which he got "as told to" credit, knew how to hustle. He had already been accused of plagiarizing an interview with Miles Davis for Playboy.
So he traveled the country for years promoting a forthcoming book on the Haley family history, which he had miraculously traced back to Africa. Black college students, swept up in the black power movement and romantic ideas about "the motherland," were thrilled at the idea that Haley had proved it was possible to hold up a lantern in the historical darkness and find one's way home.
But the most important reason for the durability of the hoax is white folks. Those at Doubleday who published "Roots" had a best seller and were not interested in people knowing it was phony baloney. David Wolper Productions created the most successful miniseries of its time and was not interested. Federal Judge Robert Ward, who presided over the plagiarism case, protected Haley's reputation.

Ward urged Courlander - the man whose novel "The African" Haley pillaged - to be quiet about his huge settlement. Ward thought that Haley had become too important to black people to be torn down in public. As I said once before in this column a few years ago, that was paternalism at its very worst: Treat them like children; they can't handle the truth.
Haley called Nobile in February 1979 at New York magazine when he was reporting on the federal case. Haley said he shouldn't report on the case because the Ku Klux Klan could use the outcome against his people.
On another occasion, I heard Haley protest on the radio that "they" were trying "to say that black people have no history." At another point, according to Nobile, "He compared the truth about him to those people who attacked Anne Frank and said that there was no Holocaust. He would resort to anything."
Since "Roots" has brought millions of black tourist dollars to Gambia, one Gambian said to me, "Yes, it is a lie but it is a good lie."

the last place I worked I was good friends with team lead and another co-worker who were both black.

But I've got 57 years experience...much of it in a suburb that went from 100% white to 100% black. And another 5 years experience working nights in the downtown area of a major city.

Looking at things objectively....when the dollar is worthless and there are no jobs, things are going to get ugly. You'll fight whoever is trying to steal your food or trying to kill you....

I understand where you are coming from completely. I have lived in some of the worst black areas Kalifornia has to offer and have been the victim of anti white viloence from blacks, mexicans and asians. I have been at the crap end of the stick in an all Mexican army unit and I do remember Basic Training in Geargia where the blacks get special privelidge and the whites are treated like garbage. So I understand your frustration.

Yesterday I and a staff seargent buddy who dealt with the same in Geargia. Heard a commotion and thought a chicken was being eaten by a dog. Turned out it was our neighbors puppies throat being eaten out by a black guys pit bull that was running loose as usual. I would have shot the dog once I found it but instead I let the guy take his bloody mutt and pay the lady for her loss. But still I can't hate a people for these reasons but I won't like them all blindly either. I have been through too much for that. But I understand.

It is kind of like water under the bridge at this point, but I think a case can be made that we are set to warring with other races because that is what TPTB want. Think about how many racial stories are on the MSM. I served in the USAF and I know what you guys are talking about with the one on one conversations vs the white with many. But who really keeps this fire kindled? I was listening to the Super Bowl on the AM at work and of all things Mr. MSM trots out that piece of shit Jesse Jackson who preaches to us about about two black head coaches in the Super Bowl. Who cares? I hadn't even given it a first thought let alone a second. It's part of the divide and conquer game that never ends. It's class warfare at its finest. Keep the lower to middle classes occupied with race so they never look at what we are doing over here at the central bank. Like I said, it's water under the bridge and as long as the media moguls put race front and center there will be no conclusion to this parcel of $hi7. Like gasilat, I had a close older black civilian gentleman who took me under his wing while I was in the USAF. I learned a lot from that man about my job and since he was essentially the first black man I ever really knew I learned some stuff about life from him. Since he was raised in South Carolina from the 20s he had figured out what I am saying here. He had been called nigger and looked down upon by a whole lot of ass holes but he knew the score and he had figured out that the pressures came from above. At the time I didn't really understand what he was saying but reading this thread has brought it back to me. I'm no innocent, I've had my moments when I wanted to lash out but in the end I think it's because we all; blacks, whites, asians, whatever, are being conditioned to hate each other and focus on our classes rather than the class who keep the pot stirred.
